Here I am going to describe how to make money online through increasing sales.
For Importers & Exporters: If you are an importer, indenter, wholesaler or exporter, you can find new suppliers or buyers through Alibaba Website.
For Small Businessmen & Retailers: If you are a small local businessman or retailer, who want to let the people to know about his product or service and need to increase the number of customers and consumers, please follow the step by step guidelines as follows:
- First, you need to open a website or blog introducing your product or service. Of course, you have to select proper keyword which represent about your business. The keyword should fulfill two criteria:- a) It should relevant to your product or service, b) It should most popular and frequently searched by the people of the area of your business. Suppose, you are a computer hardware mechanic and your work is computer servicing, you should found relative and popular keywords on this subject. If you have a google account (i.e. gmail account), go to Google Adwords Page and login with your Google ID. In Tools menu, select "Keyword Planner" and click on the option "Search for new keywords using a phrase, website or category". Then in "Your product or service" box, write your keyword "computer servicing". In 'location' option, type the country or city name where you want to sell or marketing your product, or want to provide your service. After click on "Get ideas" button, a page will open containing the information about your keyword. As you are not advertiser, so you need not "ad group ideas", you need only to see "keyword ideas". Now you have to carefully follow the column "Avg. monthly searches". Average monthly searches means the number of internet users of your desired area (location or territory) searching the particular terms (i.e. computer servicing) through Google in one month. Remember that, it is not enough to know only the search volume. Because, it is hard (or even impossible) for you to achieve the place of first page of google search in case of higher competitive keywords. So you have to find less competitive keywords from the list of keyword ideas. To view the search result of these keywords, you can copy and paste, or write these words in google search box, or for quick search, you can double click and then right click and select the option "search google for ....". You should test different keywords or key phrases got through 'keyword ideas' of keyword planner tool in Google Search. Please carefully analyze the Page Rank of first ten webpages shown in the first page of Google SERP (Search Engine Result Page). If you see all of the pages which has listed in first page of google search are high ranked (like 5 or 6 rank), it is hard to achieve for you. On other hand, if you see some of the pages listed in first page of google search are lower ranked (like 1 or 2 rank), it is easy for you to achieve. So, you should choose popular but less competitive keywords, for which search results let lower ranked webpages to be placed in first SERP page. i.e., if you see the word "computer servicing" is good in monthly search popularity (like 50,000 pageview per month), but Google Search Result does not show less than 5 PR (Page Rank) webpages in first page, it will not suitable for you. It may be better to choose the key phrase "computer servicing center" which popularity is medium (like 10,000 pageview per month), but one or two PR1 or PR2 webpages has been indexed in SERP first page. Because, if you can achieved your website's pagerank 1 or 2, you have the chance to be viewed in Google's first page. Sometimes even a PR0 page can achieved Google's top position and get dozens of visitors per day, if the keyword is not competitive.
- Now I am telling about the way to check page rank. For check single page, it is enough the pagerank checker tools like PR Checker. But in case of selecting keyword for any new website or blog, you need to use such Checker Tool which can check multiple page rank at once. For this purpose, SEO Quake Toolbar is best according to my knowledge, which will show pageranks of every webpage you visit. You need to install this toolbar on your browser.
- By using Google Adwords Keyword Planner tool and SEO Quake Toolbar, you have got the keyword for your website or blog related to your business. Not it is the time to starting your website or blog. If you have not experience about web design, blog is the easiest way to create quick website. Go to Blogger.Com and login with your Google ID. Click on "New Blog" button. When you write your blog title and blog address, be careful about to put proper keyword. If your subject is Computer Servicing and your selected keyword is "Computer Servicing Center", type "Computer Servicing Center" in title box and make the blog address "computer-servicing-center.blogspot.com". Once the blog was created, then make post about your product or service and do not forget to use proper keyword in post title.
- Now is the time for broadcast and publicize your website or blog. Make sure you have carefully checked your blog settings and ensure that, "listed on blogger and visible to search engine" has enabled. By default, this option is enabled, if you not changed. In case of blogspot blog, google automatically index it, but in order to get search engine position, you need to systematically optimize your site. You can do it by submitting your website or blog to different websites and web directories. You should try to get listed your website in relevant websites, or at least relevant categories of web directories, which subjects and topics are same as your website. The website or directory, where your website or blog to be listed, the page rank of that site's main page should not less than 4; and the specific page, where your site will be listed, the page rank of that page should not less than 3.
- Make sure that, your website's URL, Title, Heading, Description Meta Tag and Keyword Meta Tag all are containing the keyword of your product or service name which people are looking for through Google. One of my blog was listed in Google search result's second page or 10th position of first page, when there was no description meta tag. But after I include the description meta tag containing my keyword, then it achieved top position of Google SERP.
For the Writers & Scholars: If you are not any businessman and you have not any product or service to provide, but only have knowledge and experience, and have ability to provide good popular articles and stories which can fulfill people's demand, Google Adsense if better for you. It is a program which enable you to show advertiser's ad on your own webpage and get payment through Google. After making a complete blog or website, you can apply for adsense to google. Open Google Adsense Webpage, then login with your google account. After being approved by google adsense authority, your adsense account will be enabled and you have to copy the ad code and past in the HTML page of your webpage. In case of Blog, it is not necessary to copy past the ad code. You have to simply go to "Earning" option and choose the ad formats, ad locations and positions, that means where you want to show the ads of your blog page.

You should choose the option "all location" to check the keyword popularity. In case of adsense users, it is not enough to know only keyword popularity, but also need to know keyword price. So along with "Average monthly searches" column, you should also consider the column "Suggested bid", which represent the approximate cost of the keyword for per click by the visitors.
